Pediatricians Recommend Xylitol

Have you ever met a child who likes going to the dentist? Us either.

And it’s no wonder. Most kids eat more between meal carbohydrates such as soft drink, chewing gum, milk, sweets, fruit, juices, breads and cakes than adults. This regular exposure to sugar, together with their developing hygiene habits, increases their risk for cavities.

It’s also difficult to get kids to brush and floss after meals the way they should, and nearly impossible to get them to brush after snacking.

Perhaps that’s why the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists recommends daily use of xylitol for patients with moderate or high risk for tooth decay.

Help Reduce Your Children's Fear of the Dentist

Help reduce your children’s stress and fear by giving them the confidence to know they’re more than likely just going in for a good tooth brushing and flossing. How?

That's simple. Help them defend their teeth by giving them kid-friendly xylitol chewing gum, or xylitol mints! The xylitol in all Epic products disrupts sugar-fueled, tooth-eating acid attacks. Can you think of a better way to help your kids protect their teeth?

How Do You Get the Most Benefit?

Make sure xylitol’s in contact with your child’s teeth (or yours) for at least five minutes at least three times per day. We do provide a both flouride and  fluoride-free toothpaste options. And while we know it’s not easy to get kids to brush twice a day for two solid minutes each, we have your back with our best selling dental gums and mints that perfectly complement brushing.

By following these dentist-recommended daily use guidelines, your kids are guaranteed to leave the dentist smiling.
