One third of all food produced is lost or wasted, that costs the global economy close to $940 billion each year.
Occasionally we get our product purchasing wrong and end up with a little too much of this or that. When that occurs we are careful to ensure nothing goes to waste.
We donate our excess product to some wonderful organisations, including OzHarvest.
OzHarvest has delivered 210 million meals since they began their important work.
Their purpose is not just to feed those who are going without, but by reducing waste they are working to minimise our global footprint. Did you know that 10% of global greenhouse gases comes from food that is produced but not eaten? A number that is worse than flying!
